Gara Milionaria 1.2 155km 17/8/06

Following his strong ride at Capodarco, Matt Lloyd backed up with a second place at the Gara Milionaira in Montopone, Italy on Thursday. Run over three laps of a very tough 50 kilometre circuit, the field was blown to pieces with 24 of the 193 starters completing the course. Simon Clarke was ninth and the rest of the team worked hard to make sure that Matt was in the best position for a shot at the win. He just failed to mow down Frenchman, Julien Antommarchi, in the run to the finish.
