The final stage of the Giro delle Regioni had a sting in the tail with 2 tough category 2 climbs in the last 35 kilometers. On the 2nd of these, Cameron Meyer went clear with the leader and 2nd position holder of the Tour and stayed away until the finish.

Stage 5 of the Giro delle Regioni from Spoleto to Foligno was controlled until the last 20 kilometers. On the last climb the field split into several groups with Travis and Cameron Meyer both attempting solo breaks but both were brought back.

After a day when everything went so well, things were a little tougher for the Australians in the wet stage 4 of the Giro delle Regioni. Simon Clarke fell ill overnight but insisted on starting despite his condition.

SouthAustralia.com-AIS rider Wesley Sulzberger sits in second place overall after victory in Stage 3 of the Giro delle Regioni (Regioni Tour) in Italy.

The 21 year old Tasmanian, who last year claimed the silver medal in the men's U23 road race at the World Championships in Stuttgart, outsprinted race leader Vitaly Buts (UKR) with a winning time of 3hr54min54sec at the end of the 147km stage from Giovanni Teatino to Chieti.

Today's performance by the Australians in stage 3 of the Giro delle Regioni, was one of the best I've seen. On the category 1 climb, Travis Meyer attacked and rode on his own for 50 kilometers. Wes Sulzberger went with the next break of 4 riders.

The 2nd stage of Giro delle Regioni featured 2 category 2 climbs, a category 1 climb and a hectic downhill finish. Simon Clarke was 4th on the stage and Trav Meyer 12th after attacking with 3 kilometers to go and being caught in the last kilometer. Simon now holds 2nd overall behind Italian, Sacha Modolo.

The first stage of this year's Giro delle Regioni started and finished in Artena in Lazio, Italy. It covered 10 laps of a 13 kilometer undulating circuit.

The attacks started at the gun and the Australians were represented in every move.

The course featured all of the ingredients that make Belgian racing unique, such as cold weather, a but of rain, cobbles and short steep hills.

 The first of the hilly stages sorted the field out in today's 4th stage of the Settimana Lombarda. The course covered 3 laps of a 64 kilometre circuit featuring the tough la Forcella pass on each lap.

Today's stage began in Dalmine, then transferred 27 kilometers to a circuit of 16 kilometers to be completed 6 times before returning to Dalmine. Although the course was flat, the wind picked up and on the run to the finish, the LPR team attacked in the cross wind and split the bunch to pieces.

Stage 2 of Settimana Lombarda was a flat one over 166 kilometers, starting in Brignano Gera d'Adda and finishing with 5 laps of a 20 kilometer circuit at Costa Volpino.

The final stage of the Tour de Langkawi was a showcase for the sprinters over 73.7 kilometers in the centre of Kuala Lumpur. Wes Sulzberger tried to steal the show but was reeled in on the last lap.
